In different spaces of architectural projects, bathrooms are often a mixture of functional areas and relaxation areas. Their place in the design of a project means choosing the right accessories, architects and designers can use different shapes, colors and textures to follow the style of the entire scheme. An inspiration for countless bathroom accessories, the Dornbracht TARA collection combines geometric shapes with timeless modernity through a clear language of form.
This year, as TARA celebrates its 30th anniversary, designer Michael Sieger and his brother Christian Sieger celebrate the creation of the collection and how it has become an icon over the years. Designers today are looking for serenity, simplicity and sustainability: “We don’t want to define ourselves by luxury design or no design at all.” Along with the innovations introduced in 2022, the team developed a unique lead bath architecture for this range.
Since 1992, the collection has adapted to the trends of each decade, adding classic or progressive glamor to bathroom architecture around the world. Considering the bathroom as part of an architectural whole, the designers took care of fittings that would complement the room as a whole, contributing to many different aspects of people’s health and well-being. In addition to durability and design quality, the development of these products is based on sustainable development principles.
Aiming for perfect proportions, the products follow the perfect golden ratio, enhancing the aesthetic durability and timeless modernity of the design. Inspired by the Bauhaus school, Dornbracht furniture stands out for its simplicity and clarity of formal language, creating a versatile effect that subtly fits into different interior design contexts. Clean and neat lines, a distinctive cross-shaped handle and a slim semi-circular spout create a minimalist yet elegant design style.
In this collection, materials play a key role in creating a minimalist environment. Available in 11 finishes, these designs create breathtaking tactile moments in the bathroom. Combined with wood, glass and terracotta fabrics, these accessories give the room a feeling of warmth and naturalness.
These bathroom accessories are divided into four categories: washbasins, bathtubs, showers and bidets, each with its own accessories. The design of the washbasin can be adapted to four styles: single hole installation, three hole installation, floor-mounted faucet and wall-mounted faucet. Bath faucets can be desktop, wall and floor.
Adapting to current trends, the collection launches new product and finish options that look to the future with avant-garde and minimalist bathroom architecture. In addition to an endless choice for individual design preferences, its materials are available in three new finishes: dark chrome in mysterious and warm colors, as well as glossy or matt champagne (22 carat gold) options.
The collection offers a new bathroom design with “architecture with signature TARA characteristics – modern and future-oriented”. Focusing on basic geometry and efficient use of space, the minimalist scheme includes only the essentials: a vanity and rain shower, complemented by a spacious bathtub and seating. This new bathroom accessory features a new dark chrome finish that helps emphasize the compactness of essentials and creates a clear sense of space.
