Cipriani is about to make his mark in Providence through the Bellini restaurant of the Beatrice Hotel

These cities bear the Cipriani seal. Providence is preparing to welcome the city’s most luxurious hotel to date: Beatrice on September 1st, with a Cipriani brand restaurant, which will open soon. High-end hotel accommodation is the latest project of former Providence Mayor Joseph Paulino Jr. (Paolino Properties), who named the hotel after his late mother Beatrice Temkin. She is a Rhode Island resident, community leader and philanthropist (and also-Shameless Cy-social editor of the Rhode Island Monthly), and the hotel is inspired by her timeless and elegant style. To make the hotel more charming, Paolino collaborated with Ignazio Cipriani of the world-famous Cipriani family to open the Bellini restaurant and private rooftop club on the top floor of Beatrice.
“The Cipriani family is in some incredible and impressive places. When they first came to Providence to visit and visit this property, they came from Venice, between Providence and Venice, Italy. There is a big connection, the river runs through the city,” Beatrice’s general manager Jennifer Curtin said. “This is a match made in heaven for both parties.”
In 1948, Giuseppe Cipriani, the great-grandfather of Ignazio Cipriani, invented the Bellini cocktail at his famous Harry’s Bar in Venice, a mixture of champagne and peach puree inspired by the Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini . He also inadvertently created so-called carpaccio-thinly sliced raw beef tenderloin-at the time, a customer of Harry’s Bar, the doctor of the countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo, advised her to eat raw meat. He named the dish after the Venetian painter Carpaccio.
This high-end Italian restaurant will be the first Bellini restaurant opened by Ignazio Cipriano in New England. Ignazio Cipriano is named after the Bellini cocktail. The Paolino family got acquainted with the Cipriani brand during their travels and successfully recruited their family to open the next restaurant here. “Whether in Europe, New York City or Miami, this brand has always been attracted to them because they know they will always have that incredible experience,” Curtin said. “Another ingenious connection is that Paolino Properties is a family business, as are Cipriani and the management company Main Street Hospitality Group, so it has a special feeling of being run by several generations of the same family.”
The rooftop club will be accessible to members only and open to hotel guests. It will have indoor and outdoor spaces with French doors and views of the city’s skyline. “It will feature high-end dining and cocktails and shared plates. The food will come from the Bellini restaurant,” Curtin said. “This is something new and interesting, and a reason to spend a whole night in the city.”
The rooms in the Beatrice Hotel are equally upscale. Classic and deluxe rooms are equipped with one king bed (classic) or one king bed or two queen beds (slightly larger deluxe room), equipped with luxurious facilities, including Mascioni linen and towels made in Milan, Dyson hair dryer, organic BeeKind Personal care facilities, heated towel rail, Nespresso coffee machine, etc. There is also a penthouse suite called Barton Suite, named after the street where Joe Paolino Jr. grew up. Two-bedroom suites feature a private living room with sofa set, 53-inch TV, entertainment center and half bathroom, as well as a private king-size suite with city views, a work desk and full bathroom. Guests can also choose to connect five rooms on the fifth floor. “If someone wants to rent out the whole part, you can connect the whole room, which makes it a very unique part of the hotel,” Curtin said.
Each room has an elegant look and feel, just like Beatrice. “We are really happy to be able to take this city to a new level through luxurious hospitality. Everything in the room is a well-thought-out high-end product, linked to Beatrice himself,” Curtin added. “She is an elegant and sophisticated woman, so this is the true origin of all the design choices and elements in the room.”
